Lumi

How it works

Set it up once. Open it each night.

Lumi is meant to disappear into your routine. A few quiet minutes to set up, and then a ritual that runs itself.

1

Create your family

Sign up with your email, add a profile for each child — just a first name and an age. No logins for kids, no email, no data we don't need. Up to four profiles per family.

2

We choose tonight's story

Each evening, one story is chosen for each child — matched to their age and rotated so the same tale doesn't repeat and the traditions stay varied. Nothing to scroll, nothing to decide.

3

Press play, wind down

Warm narration, a single illustration, and the full text if you'd rather read it yourself. The story has a real beginning and a real end.

4

Lights out

No autoplay, no 'next episode,' no reasons to keep scrolling. The story finishes and the screen goes quiet — the way bedtime should.

Under the hood

Simple on purpose

No dark patterns, no manipulation. Here's exactly what happens.

How tonight's story gets chosen

Our nightly picker starts with your child's age, then skips anything they've heard recently and avoids repeating the same tradition two nights running — so over a week they hear a real spread (a Taoist parable, a folk tale, a sky myth). A few nights a year are deliberately a favorite, re-served on purpose, because rituals love a little repetition. It's a simple, honest rotation — not a black-box 'engagement algorithm.'

The library is always there

Tonight's story is the centerpiece, but the full library is one tap away. Browse past stories, replay a favorite, or download a few for a trip — everything works offline once it's saved.
